A fun photo shoot with a very mobile 6 month old Lacey.
On the morning of the shoot, I arrived at Ben and Laura’s beautiful home to set up and found that Lacey had not had her nap as planned. So Lacey and her Daddy went out for a snoozy little drive, whilst I got started.
Laura was having her hair and make up done by her good friend Laura. Who was also the mastermind behind Laura’s maternity shoot last year.
I set up two backgrounds for Lacey’s shoot. A girly pink one and a more festive Christmas one.
Lacey came home a short while later (having still resisted her daddy’s nap inducing efforts). Lacey was very happy despite her lack of sleep, so we got started. Initially I could sense Lacey was a little alarmed by the camera, but she did enjoy her mummy, Auntie Laura and myself leaping around like lunatics to get her to give us her beautiful big smile.
After about an hour of shooting we all got a bit peckish. Laura made some toast and whilst I continued shooting she literally pushed a slice of toast in my mouth with the most amazing spread! (Lotus Caramelised Biscuit Spread. Try it – you will not be disappointed). I bought some the next day and ate it out of the jar with a spoon 😀
Lacey was an absolute star and giggled her way through 200 frames. Thank you to Laura and Ben for giving me the opportunity to shoot such a stunner, and thank you to Laura for her hair and make up styling (and more importantly that toast!)
Words to describe Lacey: a beauty, 6 months old, a smiler, wriggly, long eyelashes, curly dark hair, a natural model (like her mummy) and nap resistant.
