COVID19 //
For all clients who have shoots booked with me.
COVID 19
If you believe everything you read in the press this could be all be quite scary, but being a glass half full kinda gal, I can’t help think, ‘this could be worse’ it could be a zombie apocalypse!
I try to avoid the tabloids and regularly check the WHO website and the www.gov.uk for official updates and recommend you do too.
Why is it when someone says stop touching your face, you find that you keep touching your damn face! Driving myself crazy keep having to rewash my hands!
What does this virus mean for you and your wedding?
I want to reassure you that I intend to photograph every wedding I have booked in my diary as planned and am super excited to do so. We will still meet up to discuss your wedding plans, by Skype if preferred and social distancing is still in place. My standard of service does not drop because of a virus.
As it currently stands (Sunday 15th March) a wedding is classed as a private event, not public and does not therefore need to be restricted, so most wedding venues are proceeding as normal. I recommend checking with your venue to confirm this.
If I should fall ill?
In line with the wedding contract for photographer illness, I will help to find a replacement photographer from the numerous, excellent wedding photography groups that I am part of. In light of the current situation we togs are all sympathetic and happy to support one another. I will contact you immediately if this situation arises. But rest assured I am following WHO guidelines and isolating myself as recommended.
If your wedding venue decides to postpone?
Unfortunately, there is not much that you can do about this. Check your wedding insurance force majeure clause, which, is what Corona virus falls under.
In time the venue will provide a new wedding date for you, so keep in touch and let me know what the new arrangements are. Providing I am not already booked I will be there and will honour our contract and photograph your wedding as planned!
Finally
If there is anything I can do to help I will, just get in touch and we can have a chat. This is all a transient situation and it will improve, so try not to worry or get upset. You will be married and you have the best day of your life. For now, follow guidelines, stay safe and stop touching your face!
Here is a lighthearted video about touching your face 😀
